What on earth am I doing.  I woke up this morning, tested my blood sugars, did my insulin, got my breakfast and went back to bed to eat it, and thought I would have a look around Buzznet on my laptop, before I got actually got up and had a shower.  Well, an hour later, I am still here.  How bad is that.  Do I feel bad, not really.

I'd like to wish all my friends and everyone on Buzznet a great New Year.  I wish you all good things, and I hope the new year brings you all good health and happiness.

I spent the week after Christmas with my sister, shopping, and just spending some quality time together.  Then came home New Years Eve to the inevitable pile of washing, and the usual housework. 

Now that the new year has started, I'm looking forward to Spring, and all the new life in the garden and the countryside  around us. Spring, I think, is the best time of year, it's full of life and new beginnings.

A quick observation.  My three rats are doing some mighty peculiar things this evening, and they are meant to be all girls.  I hope they are all girls, otherwise, Ooops.

Whenever I write a journal, it usually is because I am either going somewhere, or just arrived back home.  This time is no exception.  I'm off to see my sister again.  We usually go shopping, and various other stuff, and just enjoy each others company.  We usually phone each other all the time, just about every day, when I am at home.  I won't be back until next weekend.  So, have a good week everyone, and take care. 

I am so sorry I haven't been around very much this week.  I have been doing a scrapbook for my father-in-law, and it has taken up a lot of my time.  Also I have had my sister-in-law and her  partner up, so been going out with them.  On Saturday, my father-in-law is having his eightieth birthday shin-dig.  So apologies to everyone for being so neglectful this week.

Hi everyone,  I am back home again, after visiting my sister again.  We had a great few days, although the weather was not very good, apart from one day that was quite hot and sunny.

The first place we visited over the weekend, was the old part of the cemetery in gosport.  It was a very quiet, serene place and really very beautiful, (unusual description for a graveyard). 

The other place we visited this weekend, was the place that was our old haunts when we were young, I was about 8 at the time.  We used to wak for miles in this wooded area, some of it has changed, but some of it very familiar.  There is a song by the Beatles, that just fits this place, called "There Are Places I Remember". 

 

I won't be here again over this weekend, I will either be back Sunday or Monday, not quite sure which yet.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  The only problem with going away for a few days, is all the catching up with housework and things, when you return.

I've been away for the past five days, and just arrived back this evening.  I have been at my sisters, on the South Coast.  It was very windy and rained most of the time.  Hope you are all well. 

I have a new computer, and have a lot to do on it, installing software, and updating websites, and other stuff.  Lot of housework too, including a heap of washing, yuk.

I'm having problems with my computer today, so I'm using my laptop to write this.  When I turn the computer on, the message on the monitor says "Digital power saving mode" and then the monitor goes to standby.  It has done it before, but it won't power up this morning.  So frustrating.  I have quite a bit of stuff on it, (as we all do), a couple of websites, that I would have to redo.  If I get the thing working again, I will have to put everything onto my external harddrive, just in case it gives up the ghost completely.  I do have files on the external harddrive already, but I have some pictures that I haven't transferred, quite a few actually, that I wouldn't want to lose. 

Anyway, I will be away again this week, as from Sunday through to Thursday.  Going down to see my sister again.  Do a little bit of shopping, whatever else, it would be great if the weather could be a bit better than it is.  I'll be around until then. So if I don't get the chance on Sunday, have a good weekend and week.

This is my Bassett Hound when she was 16 years old.  She died just before her 17th birthday.  A very old age for a Bassett Hound, when I think around 13 is the norm.  My previous bassett hound was 13 when she died.

Yesterday morning, I found feathers just under the bird feeder.  Of course it was a photo opportunity, but then saw only one pigeon in my back garden, when there is normally two.  Well good news, there was two pigeons as usual this morning, sat on the back fence.  So, what actually happened, I just don't know, but I hope he escaped.

I've been away for a week, spent some time with my sister.  Came back this evening, (Saturday).  I expect I have plenty of housework to catch up on, loads of washing, I'll see tomorrow.

We went to the Garden Centre yesterday, to get some potting compost, I also bought a Bonsai Tree, I love them.  For sale in the Garden Centre, there was a Ladybird home, sort of a box for Ladybirds to live in.  It caught my eye, because of the aphids on my Lupins.
